Biography

Cassandra is an emerging leader and low income childcare advocate who currently serves as policy advocacy director for the Mississippi Low Income Child Care Initiative, a statewide policy advocacy organization consisting of child care providers, low income working parents and concerned citizens advocating for improved policies and more investments in the child care subsidy program. She believes that access to high quality early education is critical to the long term success of Mississippi’s children. Cassandra has led successful state and local advocacy campaigns to address the social, political and economic inequities faced by vulnerable children.
