Biography

Dr. Cesar Augusto Galvez has been a health promoter for almost 40 years, and a professor in health promotion for more than 20 years in four universities at Peru, Chile, United States, and the Philippines. He holds a Doctorate in Public Health from Loma Linda University of California, a Masters in Health Promotion and Education from two universities of Chile, and a Masters in Theology from the Latino American Adventist Seminary of Brazil & Peru. He is a fellow of the Real Society of Public Health of United Kingdom, and the Kellogg Foundation from Michigan, and a member of the American Public Health Association of United States, and the Vegetarian Nutrition Academy of the Philippines. Dr. Galvez has travelled around the world as guest lecturer in health behavior change and religion & health, has published eight books and several peer-reviewed and popular articles in different languages on the art and science of behavior, addictions, AIDS/HIV, and religion & health. He is Peruvian, and currently is the Chair of the Public Health Department of AIIAS, an international graduate university in the Philippines with around 90 countries represented. He is the leader of graduate education in public health in there modalities: Oncampus, online, and distant learning centers at Singapore, Thailand, ASEAN countries, and Russia.
