Biography

Darwin Pereyra holds a law degree. He was awarded with the Youth Award 2008 from the Government of the State of Chiapas and was chosen by the Spaniard publisher SEOL to compile part of his literary work in the book The Voice of the Written Word. He has participated in the Youth Parliament Project of the State of Chiapas as well as in the forum Dialogue for Youth, organized by the Congress of the State of Chiapas. In coordination with the Municipal Institute of Youth of Tuxtla Gutierrez, he held the promotion of the Human Rights Day in early 2012. Currently, he coordinates the translation of the Declaration of Human Rights in Tzotzil, Tzeltal and Chol language in conjunction with the Centre of Language, Art and Indigenous Literature of the State of Chiapas.
