Biography

Victorio Ortiz was born in Chenalho, State of Chiapas. Victorio studies Sustainable Development at the Intercultural University of the State of Chiapas and is the coordinator of the project: “Natural Disaster Risk Management” - focused on ten high-risk communities in the State of Chiapas. Previously, he worked as a coordinator for the Civil Protection System and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the State of Chiapas. He has participated in several courses and congresses on leadership, post-disaster damage assessment, strategic planning, conflict resolution, migration, health, and indigenous youth development.
