Godfrey Woelk, KILP-1, is the Director of Global Implementation Research at the Elizabeth Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) based in Washington DC. In this position, Godfrey supports, facilitates and undertakes research in the 14 countries the Foundation works in. Prior to joining EGPAF in 2011, Godfrey was a Senior Research Epidemiologist at RTI International based in Durham, North Carolina. He joined in 2008 from Zimbabwe, where he had been an academic for 20 years at the University of Zimbabwe Medical School Department of Community Medicine. At the University of Zimbabwe, Godfrey had been Department Chair and Professor of Epidemiology, and had taught epidemiology and research methods for diploma, undergraduate and graduate students of medicine, public health, nursing science, medical laboratory science, physical and occupational therapy. Godfrey had also undertaken research focusing mainly on the community, social and behavioral aspects of HIV prevention. Godfrey has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), a Master's in Community Health from the University of Liverpool (UK), and a Doctorate in Epidemiology from the University of Washington.
