Biography

Mr. Abel Rarayi is now retired an working on his own private early childhood development education centre in a small town called Murewa. He graduated in Botany and Zoology from Fourah Bay College in 1978, obtained a post graduate Diploma in Education from the same college. He has just finished Master of Education degree in Educational administration, planning and policy studies, with Zimbabwe Open University. He taught in High school for only half a year. Joined teacher training as a teacher trainer since 1979 to April 2006. He has recently been appointed deputy director human resources, responsible for training in the Ministry of Education Sport and Culture. He has worked with community groups in Mutoko district in comunity needs identification. He has carried out resarch in Murewa District on causes of non registration of births of local communities' children. Through KILP community project he has established a sub-post office at Nyadire Mission Station. He has written a text book in Environmental Science for Primary Schools. Mr.Rarayi is now a part time training coordinator with a philanthropic entity called WIZEAR TRUST, which specializes in hearing impairment among students in schools.
